Preparation and Standardization of Ayurvedic compound is vital to assure therapeutic efficacy and safety. Deepavali avaleha is a polyherbal Ayurvedic formulation consisting of eleven drugs used for Digestive, Appetizer, Carminative, Anti Flatulent, Antispasmodic, Improving digestive fire, Cleansing of micro channels of the body. The present study was aimed that to Prepare and Standardize the Traditional Polyherbal Avaleha formulation with respect to phyto-chemical screening, thin layer chromatography (TLC) and High performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) finger printing. Ingredients of sample were powdered separately and subjected for detailed Macroscopical studies, Phyto-Chemical screening, Powder microscopy and the powder drugs are combined in prescribed proportion and analyzed by using TLC and HPTLC as per standard procedures. The tests results obtained like HPTLC fingerprint profile would serve as diagnostic parameters for the identity of this poly herbal formulation. The results obtained may be considered as tools for assistance to the regulatory authorities, scientific organizations and manufacturers for developing standard formulation of great efficacy.Keywords

Stevia rebaudiana is one of the main constituent of various herbal formulations available for diabetes. The present study was aimed at assessing the antihyperlipidemic (Total cholesterol and triglycerides) effect of the aqueous extract of Stevia rebaudiana in alloxan induced diabetic rats. The powdered leaf was successfully extracted with water using maceration process. The wistar strains of male albino rats were used for the present study. The aqueous extract of Stevia Rebaudiana was administered intraperitoneally injection as a dose of 60mg/kg body weight to alloxan induced diabetic rats and it was found to reduce blood lipid level significantly (p<0.05). The plant extraction also exhibit correction of altered biochemical parameters like SGOT and SGPT levels in diabetic rats. The study concluded that Stevia Rebaudiana possess hypolipidemic effect in experimental diabetic rats.Keywords

Breast Cancer, the most common cancer observed in women around the world[1], accounts for 12% of all new cancer cases and nearly 25% of all cancers in women[2]. Breast Cancer, a heterogenous disease, is evident over a broad differentiation in phenotypes and morphological profiles, with an after effect of various clinical behaviours[3]. From an estimated 1 million breast cancer cases diagnosed worldwide, 170,000 are of triple negative phenotype (15-20%)[4]. Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is a substantially histopathological category based, where there is deficiency of expression of hormone receptors (ER and PR) as well as no transmutation of human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2)[3]. They are characterized by poor prognosis and aggressiveness construed by low five-year survival and high recurrence rates after adjuvant therapy. TNBC share arresting correlation with basal-like breast cancers. It is observed with high frequency of BRCA1 mutations and a heightened Ki-67 expression. Taxanes and/or platinum compounds and PARP 1 inhibitors are a good choice of treatment for TNBC[4]. The intent of this review is to highlight the relevance of PARP 1 inhibitors on TNBC and display an in depth discussion regarding these futuristic inhibitors.Keywords
